Level 1 Training Cost; $125.00/person
Each participant must have their own safety gear and chainsaw.
Here is a listing of required gear;
- Eye-ear-head protection (preferably a all-in-one helmet system)
- Protective safety chaps
- Gloves
- Supportive boots with good traction (steel toe if you have them)
- Chainsaw with 2 cycle gas mix and bar oil
- Saw scrench for adjusting chain tension
Training sessions can occure at any groups location,( ie; town garages,fire houses,municipal buildings or meeting halls,etc.). Our travel expenses are the responsability of the hosting group and are based on the current Federal travel rates. A supply of logs or a wooded area with downed trees is required for the afternoon excercise.
Depending on location and or group makeup,sessions generally begin at 8:00am and run to 3:00 to 4:00pm. We break for lunch at noon for approximatly 45 minutes. Bring your own brown bag.
Last but not least...bring your questions. This is the best opportunity to put away the myths and seperate the facts from fiction. Most of all, this course will help you point out and break those bad habits you may have developed over time. Just remember the word "Kickback". It happens when you least expect it!
